The McDonald Group Joins Weichert Realtors to Launch New Center City Office
Philadelphia – The McDonald Group, one of Philadelphia’s top producing real estate teams, announced today that it has joined Weichert Realtors to launch a new Center City office.
After over a decade of partnership at Space & Company, and after achieving the title of Top Producing Team with over $50 million in closed transaction since 2015, it was a difficult decision for Johnny McDonald, owner and lead realtor of The McDonald Group, to join a new brokerage. The group was actively recruited by five excellent brokerages in the Philadelphia area.
“We chose Weichert for three main reasons: their impeccable national brand, their cutting edge technical support, and the opportunity to launch the new Weichert office in Philadelphia to serve the growing local market,” said McDonald from his team’s office at WeWork in Northern Liberties.
The McDonald Group is made up of five licensed sales agents that serve all the Delaware Valley markets throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey, with the primary focus being Center City in Philadelphia. The group is supported by two full time administrative and marketing staff members who help streamline business operations.
In addition to his role with The McDonald Group, Johnny McDonald is a seasoned real estate professional who also serves as owner and principal of the real estate developer Onion Flats, the architectural firm Plumbob, and the general contractor JIG. Experience across these disciplines has honed his expertise in real estate finance, marketing, sales, leasing, design, and construction management. McDonald is a licensed Realtor® since 2004, a Certified Eco-Broker, and an appointee to PAR’s Presidential Advisory Committee on Climate Change.
